CPD for Registered practitioners

Registered practitioners are required to complete a minimum of ten hours of CPD per financial year. Practitioners can attain the required hours from agency mandated training or refresh requirements, performance in the designated role, or participation in relevant theory-based professional development activities.

Practitioners can accumulate hours through a combination of CPD activities. They must, however, include at least five hours performing the role (actual or simulated). While it is not a requirement for registered practitioners, up to five hours of the minimum requirement can be achieved by theory-based activities. Practitioners who are registered in multiple roles must complete the minimum CPD requirement for each. Theory-based hours may be counted against more than one role if they are relevant to each role. However, the minimum practical requirement must be met in relation to each role and you cannot count practical hours against more than one role.
