Fees

Personnel of AFAC member agencies

The AFAC National Council has agreed standing arrangements for meeting the application and annual fees of personnel from AFAC member agencies. You require the support of your agency to make an application for credentialling under EMPS. If you need further information about this, contact the EMPS team at email@emps.org.au.

Applications

Applicants for certified status pay an application fee at the time their application is submitted. For personnel of AFAC member agencies, the fee is covered by standing arrangements. For other applicants, the fee payable is $600+GST. This fee represents a contribution towards the cost of the certification interview panel and is not refundable. Applicants for registered status pay an application fee based on the annual cost of registration. For personnel of AFAC member agencies, the fee is covered by standing arrangements: for other applicants, it is $200+GST. This fee is pro-rated so that, for example, an application made in December attracts half the full-year fee.

Second and subsequent applications

Additional applications to be certified attract a non-refundable fee of $600+GST for applicants who are not members of AFAC member agencies. This represents a contribution to the cost of the certification panel required for each role. Applications to be registered in additional roles attract a one-off fee of $200+GST for applicants who are not members of AFAC member agencies. This contributes to our costs of processing the application and issuing a registration card for each successful role.

Annual fees

Certified and registered practitioners pay an annual fee each year covering the period 1 July to 30 June. The application fee for certified practitioners covers the cost of the annual fee, for successful applicants, until the 30 June following the date of certification. Personnel of AFAC member agencies have their annual fees covered by standing arrangements: others pay $200+GST per year.

Renewal and additional/replacement card fees

A fee of $25+GST applies to the reissue of a card where it has been lost or damaged.
