Postnominals and insignias
Postnominals
EMPS does not recommend the use of postnominals in association with our credentials. Where relevant, you can add the name of the credential you hold in full to a resume or biographical note.
Insignia
We issue a lapel badge to all EMPS registered and certified practitioners. The lapel badge distinguishes between registered and certified practitioners and is not role-specific.
The wearing of badges on the uniform is a matter for individual agencies to authorise, including rules for their positioning, and the issue of a badge by EMPS does not amount to authorisation for wearing it on the uniform. When worn on civilian attire we leave it to the discretion of the individual as to where to place the badge. We suggest, if a practitioner is both registered in one or more roles and certified in another, that only the certified practitioner badge is worn.
